After rain, dust and strong winds forecast

Doha and other places in the country continued to receive rain Saturday, with thunderstorms reported from some places along with strong winds (pictured, by Shemeer Rasheed). The winds are expected to gradually shift to northwesterly from midday today, becoming fresh to strong in intensity and leading to dusty conditions at times and high seas, the Met department tweeted yesterday. In another tweet late at night, the department said ,latest satellite image shows the formation of a dust mass in the northern Arabian Peninsula moving gradually eastward. It's expected to affect the country during the daytime on Sunday, accompanied by northerly fresh to strong winds and causing a drop in visibility to below 2km at times,.
