Safari, a leading hypermarket chain in Doha, organised the Leap Year Birthday Celebration “to create unforgettable memories for those who celebrate their birthday once in four years”. 
The celebration took place in the Food Court of Safari Mall, Abu Hamour, on February 29 evening. “Safari, which always maintains a special relationship with its customers, celebrated the birthday of customers whose date of birth is February 29,” the retailer said in a statement. 
Shaheen Backer, executive director of Safari Group, cut a cake on the occasion and joined the celebrations along with children and adults celebrating their birthday on February 29. 
Safari offered handmade gifts while Ooredoo Qatar gave exclusive gifts to the event’s participants. As part of the celebration, Ooredoo Qatar gave 29GB of free data, valid for 29 days, as a gift to those celebrating their birthday.
Besides families, singles also attended the celebration, accompanied by their friends.
