His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Sunday held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.
During the phone call, which the Amir received from the French president, the two sides reviewed the close bilateral relations and means of promoting them in all fields. T
hey also reviewed the most important developments on the regional and international arenas, especially the situation in Libya and ways to maintain security and stability in the country, in addition to the situation in Afghanistan.
President Macron praised Qatar's efforts in reaching US-Taliban peace agreement which was signed in Doha on Saturday.
Amir condoles with Pakistan leaders
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent cables of condolences to Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan on the victims of the train-bus collision in southern Pakistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani also sent a similar cable of condolences to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
