Ooredoo has announced the appointment of Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari as the new director of PR for Ooredoo Qatar. About the decision, Waleed al-Sayed, Ooredoo Qatar chief executive officer said, “This is a key role for Ooredoo Qatar, as it reflects the image of the company to our people in Qatar and world. I am confident that Sabah will do a great job maintaining and further enhancing our relationship with our customers and communities.”
Sabah comes to Ooredoo from the media sector, with eight years of experience in Al Rayyan TV, two of which he was the general manager of Al Rayyan Satellite Channel. 
He was also the acting manager, Media Department at Qatar Charity. 
Sabah holds a Bachelor of Finance & Management from Qatar University, and he received the award of the ‘Young Distinguished Graduate’ and the Qatar National Prize of Voluntary Work. 
He is also a graduate of the Qatar Leadership Center (QLC). The appointment of Sabah Rabia al-Kuwari to the position of Director of Public Relations at Ooredoo Qatar comes as a part of the company’s support for Qatari competencies and the Qatarisation plan, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. 
Ooredoo maintains a busy and active community relations programme, working with schools and universities to promote technology-enhanced education; supporting a range of programmes to promote healthy lifestyles including the annual Ooredoo Marathon; and engaging with a range of programmes to promote Qatar’s culture and traditions.
