*Qatar, Tunisia to enhance ties in all fields

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied held an official talks session at Carthage Presidential Palace in Tunis Monday.
Talks during the session pertained to the close bilateral relations between the two countries and means to develop them in all fields in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries, especially in the fields of economy, investment, security and defence, as the two sides agreed to create an effective mechanism to accelerate the pace of work between the two countries within the Joint Higher Committee, in order to overcome all difficulties and strengthen and develop relations in various fields.
The talks also dealt with a number of regional and international issues of common concern , most importantly the latest developments in the Palestinian cause and the Libyan crisis. The two sides stressed the importance of promoting joint Arab action.
Members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir attended the session.
On the Tunisian side, it was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani arrived in Tunis Monday on a two-day official visit to Tunisia.
His Highness the Amir was welcomed upon arrival at Tunis-Carthage International Airport by Tunisian President Kais Saied, Governor of Tunis City Shazli Boualak, a number of high-ranking Tunisian officials, Qatar's ambassador to Tunisia Saad bin Nasser al-Humaidi, Tunisian ambassador to Qatar Sami al-Saidi, and members of Qatari embassy in Tunisia.
The Amir was accorded an official reception ceremony upon arrival.
Talking to the media in Doha, the Tunisian ambassador stressed the importance of the official visit by the Amir to his country and its role in strengthening relations between the two countries and pushing bilateral co-operation to broader fields and horizons.
The ambassador said the Amir's visit to Tunisia confirms the exceptional nature of the distinguished relations between Tunisia and Qatar, especially since it comes a few months after the election of President Kais Saied as head of state.
