His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani left Amman Monday , after a two-day official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, heading to the sisterly Tunisian Republic.
His Highness the Amir and his accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at the Queen Alia International Airport by King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein; Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, President of Jordan Football Association; a lineup of ministers and senior military and civil officials; Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani; Jordan's Ambassador to Qatar Zaid al- Lawzi and members of the Qatari embassy in Jordan.
The Amir sent a cable to the King of Jordan to express deep thanks and appreciation for the warm hospitality and honour accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during the visit, which provided him the opportunity to meet the king, as well as exchange views on issues of common concern and means of strengthening and promoting the fraternal relations between the two countries, as the talks affirmed their mutual keenness to continue enhancing and developing them in various fields for the good and the benefit of the two peoples.
His Highness the Amir wished the king the best of health and happiness, and the friendly people of Jordan further progress and prosperity.
