HE the Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud met a delegation of Turkish-Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group headed by its chairman, MP Vahit Kiler.
The meeting reviewed parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and ways of supporting and developing these relations in addition to co-ordination between the two sides at regional and international forums.
A number of issues of common concern were also reviewed.
During the meeting, the Shura Council Speaker praised the great development in the Qatari-Turkish relations in various fields, looking forward to more co-operation between the two countries.
For his part, MP Vahit Kiler expressed his great satisfaction with the close co-operation between the two countries and a common desire to develop them to broader horizons.
Chairman of the Qatar-Asian Parliamentary Friendship Group Rashid bin Hamad al-Meadadi attended the meeting along with a number of the group members, and Turkey's ambassador to Qatar Fikret Ozar.
