The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) launched the Transformation Strategy for Human Resources Management 2020-2022, at a ceremony it held to publicise the strategy and its goals.
The Transformation Strategy for Human Resources Management 2020-2022 is an important initiative of the MoPH aimed at making a qualitative leap in the human resources development field in the health sector in Qatar, in line with the best global developments and practices in this field.

Assistant Undersecretary for Shared Services Affairs at MoPH, Abdullah Ibrahim al-Emadi, said in his speech delivered on behalf of the Director of Human Resources Department Ghanim Ibrahim al-Mohannadi that the Transformation Strategy for Human Resources Management 2020-2022 is an extension of the ministry's directives and in line with the National Health Strategy 2018-2022 and Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to transform Qatar into an advanced country capable of achieving sustainable development and providing decent living for its people generation after generation.
Al-Emadi added that the Transformation Strategy for Human Resources Management seeks to set a road map towards providing advanced and distinguished services in human resources management, based on ensuring the quality of the services provided. He also pointed out that the strategy includes everything that would achieve a future vision in line with the developments in the global health sector and with the roles of the MoPH in leading the health system in Qatar, as it is the first authority responsible for developing national health programmes and plans and is responsible for monitoring and supervising health sector facilities.
He pointed out that the launch of the strategy comes in light of the need to unify the procedures of human resources management in all institutions of the health sector and the additional challenges that this places in order to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided by human resource departments in these institutions. It also aims to contribute to the strategic planning process of the MoPH as well as provide support to achieve the desired results, and work towards a comprehensive digital transformation of human resource management processes and procedures.
During the Transformation Strategy for Human Resources Management launching ceremony, a comprehensive presentation was made on the strategy. A number of Human Resources Department heads in the MoPH gave presentations on the programmes, initiatives and projects that the strategy contained.
Transformation Strategy for Human Resources Management 2020-2022 seeks to convert human resources management into an effective business partner who is able to contribute to the development of performance and innovation, and achieve the integration of employees in the MoPH of different job levels, through the development and integration of human resource management processes and skills, building capacity and improve customer and stakeholder experience and create a performance-enhancing culture.
