*His Highness Sheikh Tamim to hold talks with leaders of Jordan, Tunisia and Algeria

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will start Sunday official visits to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Tunisia and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
During the three-day visits, His Highness the Amir will discuss with King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein, President Kais Saied, and President Abdul Majeed Tabun, ways to promote and strengthen the strong brotherly relations between Qatar and their respective countries in various fields, in addition to exchanging views on regional issues and the most prominent developments on the international arena of common concern.
The Amir's tour comes as Qatar's relations with these countries having reached high prospects of coordination and cooperation at the political, economic, commercial, cultural and social levels.
His Highness the Amir's tour, which will see talks and signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding, is expected to contribute to supporting and promoting the relations, and open new horizons of cooperation to serve joint interests as well as the Arab issues and aspirations in general.
The visits coincides with increasing challenges and dangers in the Arab region, starting with the Palestinian cause and the Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, to the situation in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and other Arab countries.
Jordanian Prime Minister Dr Omar Razzaz stressed the importance of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani's visit to Amman and the talks between the Amir and King Abdullah.
He said the Jordanian government is committed to the advancement of ties with Qatar, and enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields. He expressed his appreciation for the two countries' strong co-operation in the commerce and investment fields, as well as in terms of providing job opportunities and training.
The tour indicates that Qatar, despite its preoccupation with the local affairs and fortifying its internal front in facing all the requirements and challenges, has not and will not hesitate to carry out its national role towards the issues of the Arab nation, and that it will remain at the forefront to defend the interests of the nation and its just and legitimate rights, and the aspiration of its people for freedom, peace, stability and prosperity.
His Highness the Amir will arrive in Amman Sunday and will discuss with King Abdullah bilateral relations and means of developing and bolstering them in various fields, to serve the interests of both countries and brotherly peoples, as well as key regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Qatar and Jordan enjoy close and deep brotherly relations which have developed since the establishing of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1972. The Amir paid visits to Jordan in March 2014, and in March 2017 to take part in the Arab Summit held there. King Abdullah last came to Qatar in June 2013.
Highlighting the Amir's visit, Jordanian government spokesman and Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad al-Adaileh stressed in a statement in Amman that the tour confirmed the fraternal relations between the two countries, and the keenness of both the Qatari and Jordanian leaderships to develop and strengthen them in various fields, and increase coordination and consultation on various issues of common concern, noting the depth of the Qatari-Jordanian relations, and the two countries' keenness to push them towards broader horizons of progress and prosperity.
Jordanian ambassador to Qatar Zaid Mufleh al-Lawzi said the visit comes within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the brotherly relations between His Highness the Amir and King Abdullah in light of the current regional developments.
Ambassador al-Lawzi highlighted the fraternal Qatari-Jordanian relations, pointing out that members of Jordanian community in Qatar work in various sectors of the country.
He also praised the initiative of the Amir to allocate $500mn investment opportunities in support of Jordan, and provide job opportunities for Jordanians in Qatar.
Qatar's ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani praised Qatari-Jordanian relations, noting that they are continuously growing and witnessing broad and multifaceted developments in various fields.
The ambassador said the visit comes as a response to the invitation of King Abdullah and it will lead to enhanced co-ordination and consultation between the two countries on various issues and open new horizons for mutual cooperation for the benefit and the interests of the two nations.
