The Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, signed a sponsorship agreement yesterday, announcing the latter as the official sponsor of the 17th edition of Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE). 
The sponsorship agreement was signed by Yousef Ali Darwish, general manager, Group Communications of QNB, and Ahmed al-Obaidly, director of exhibitions at QNTC, in the presence of HE Akbar al-Baker, secretary-general of QNTC and Qatar Airways Group chief executive.
Al-Obaidly said that QNTC is pleased to have QNB as the official sponsor of DJWE 17th edition of DJWE where exhibitors and visitors will benefit from the financial services provided by the largest financial institution in the region.
“This edition is the largest in terms of number of exhibitors, space and international participation and offers jewellery and watches fans an opportunity to learn about the finest international and local brands, compare them and acquire them in one visit,” he added.
Under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, DJWE will run from February 24-29 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. 
It will feature 127 exhibitors from 14 countries and showcase 500 local and international brands.
DJWE brings together designers and the world’s most prestigious jewellery and watches brands to present exclusive pieces while showcasing the latest trends and developments in the industry.
The exhibition is one of the largest in the world of it’s kind and has seen year on year growth in both scale and scope.
Ali Darwish said QNB is proud of the official sponsorship of the prestigious event, which is one of the most luxurious in the region. 
“Our sponsorship of DJWE is a testament to our dedication and commitment to supporting the exhibition’s goal in highlighting Qatar’s position as a commercial hub for professionals and enthusiasts in the field, and as a global destination to attract visitors from all around the world,” he said.
The 17th edition of DJWE has Qatar Airways as its airline partner and the JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha as the official hotel partner.
