Qatari professional boxer Sheikh Fahad bin Khalid bin Jassim Al-Thani has completed his intensive preparations for his upcoming 14th match in light middleweight division during his professional career under the supervision of the Professional Boxers Association in Spain.

Sheikh Fahad is scheduled to head Thursday to the Spanish capital, Madrid, in preparation for his first game this year on Friday in Leon, looking forward to continuing the march of victories.

After that, the Qatari boxer will play two consecutive matches. The first confrontation will be held on Feb. 29, and the second on March 14, bringing the number of matches that he will play in one month to three confrontations.

Sheikh Fahad hopes to play 20 matches at the end of the current year in order to improve his world classification, which prompted him to run three games during a month and before the end of March, given that he will not play any matches in April and May because they coincide with the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.

Although the match will be held next Friday, the Qatari boxer's competitor in the upcoming confrontation has not been announced yet, which increases the difficulty, as he has to know about his competitor and the way he plays before facing him.

Qatari boxer Sheikh Fahad emphasised that in his training, he is focusing on his vulnerabilities, explaining that he will travel 24 hours before the match because he has training program in Doha with veteran Puerto Rican boxer Carlos Leon.

The three-confrontation program was changed several times recently due to the lack of commitment of some of the organisers to the programs that were specified at the beginning of the year as a result of the withdrawal of some boxers, as well as the change of matches' program by others.

For his part, Carlos Leon considered that Sheikh Fahad bin Khalid bin Jassim Al-Thani has developed his level very clearly and become a completely different from his beginning two years ago, noting his physical and mental fitness, as well as his excellence in the field of boxing technique and self-confidence, as he gained recently more experiences and skills.
