Indian budget carrier Air India Express will launch a new service between Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu and Doha next month, it is learnt.
Starting on March 31, the service will operate thrice a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, according to information available on the airline's website.
Flight IX 673 will depart Tiruchirappalli at 1.30am and arrive in Doha at 3.40am, while flight IX 674 will leave Doha at 4.40am and reach Tiruchirappalli at 11:55am, the schedule shows.
It was recently reported that another India-based low-cost airline, GoAir, is set to launch daily direct flights between Mumbai and Doha from March 19.
