Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Qatar Scientific Club on Monday signed a co-operation agreement to implement Imdad programme sponsored by the Sports and Social Activities Support Fund of Qatar Central Bank.
The agreement was signed by Secretary-General of QRCS Ali bin Hassan al-Hammadi and Executive Director of Qatar Scientific Club Hareb Mohamed al-Jabri.
Al-Hammadi welcomed the agreement and described Imdad programme as one of the most important social programs of QRCS, as it aims to train and empower young people, one of the most important segments of the Qatari society.
He stressed that the QRCS always seeks to guide young people through psychological support programs and behavioral and professional guidance to help them adapt and encourage them to start a life full of hope, work and ambition, adding that this is what the programme aims for in terms of encouraging young people to practicing useful professions to live a decent life and overcome difficulties.
The co-operation between the two sides to implement the Imdad programme began in 2012 through holding several joint training workshops, in different disciplines for young people and students.
