The National Service Academy celebrated on Thursday the graduation of Iraqi officers who attended a six-week long self-defence course.

The course involved activities such as swimming, running, barriers field, ring exercises and weight lifting, to raise the participants' fitness level.

The officers also underwent Jujitsu training, in addition to other self-defence skills such as armless combat and methods of disarming the enemy, as well as combat with sticks and knives.

HE the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training and Staff Major General Hamad Ahmed al-Nuaimi, ambassador of Iraq to Qatar Omar Ahmed Karim al-Barzanji, and the head of the National Service Academy Staff Major General Saeed Hamad a-Nuaimi attended the graduation ceremony.

Certificates were distributed by HE Staff Major General Hamad Ahmed al-Nuaimi and HE Omar Ahmed Karim al- Barazanji.

Iraqi ambassador to Qatar expressed his thanks and appreciation to Qatar and the National Service Academy for their efforts in this course.
