HE the Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud on Tuesday met the President of the National Congress of Paraguay and President of Group of Latin America and the Caribbean, Blas Llano, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they reviewed the parliamentary relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them. Relations between the Shura Council and the parliaments of Latin American and Caribbean countries were also discussed, in addition to co-ordination between the two sides in the international parliamentary conferences.
The delegation praised the economic, cultural, sports and legislative renaissance witnessed by Qatar led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The meeting was attended by HE the Chairman of the Qatari Friendship Committee with Latin American and Caribbean Countries, Khalid bin Abdullah al-Buainain, members of the committee, ambassador of Paraguay to Qatar Angel Ramon Barchini and Shura Council officials.
