QIB, VISA collaborate to bring cardholders full control of account

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has collaborated with VISA to provide VISA Transaction Control (VTC), an innovative feature that gives QIB VISA credit cardholders more control, safety, and security over their cards through QIB’s mobile App.
Through the new innovative service, which QIB has now made available in the Qatari market, credit cardholders have the power to set convenient and effective spending and security controls using a simple on/off feature through QIB’s award-winning mobile App. Any changes made are reflected instantaneously on VISA’s global network, providing certainty and a peace of mind to our customers.
Not only local, but the new features make travelling a lot easier for QIB customers, allowing them to be in charge of their VISA usage and overall spending when overseas. Through simple activations on the mobile App, the customer is in control of their VISA cards, without having to contact customer support or visiting a branch.
With VTC, cardholders can activate or deactivate their credit cards or choose to enable and disable specific features of their VISA credit cards directly on their payment network through QIB’s mobile App.
If customers don’t want to use their cards for online purchases, they can disable online transactions and enable it only at the time of purchase. VTC also allows cardholders to activate or deactivate ATM cash withdrawals, POS transactions and international usage. The innovative feature will allow customers to utilise their cards as they see best, giving them full control over any transaction.
Furthermore, cardholders looking to carry out foreign currency transactions can now view VISA foreign exchange rates real time on QIB’s mobile App.
