In line with the edutainment concept, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) on Tuesday opened its pavilion at KidZania Doha.

Kahramaa explained in a statement on Tuesday that the new facility is aimed at introducing its activities and services to children by integrating education and entertainment.

The Kahramaa pavilion at KidZania Doha has been set up within the framework of corporate social responsibility in a bid to help the country build a sustainable society in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

During a ceremony, held at KidZania, a partnership agreement was signed by Kahramaa's Public Relations and Communications Department director Mohamed Ali al-Muhannadi, and Aspire Zone Foundation's administrative affairs head and Qatar Entertainment Company (Tasali) board member Khaled Ali al-Mawlawi.

Kahramaa's pavilion consists of two main sections and features seven educational activities that introduce the Corporation’s major functions in the field of electricity, water and smart grids. The young visitors will be made aware of the initiatives for rationalisation of electricity and water consumption, energy efficiency and use of renewable energy. The facility offers an interactive climate for children to help them hone their skills and acquire new knowledge through edutainment.
