The Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) provided aids worth QR 250,906,854 during 2019.
In a press release on Monday, the Fund said that these aids come within the framework of permanent, cut, and seasonal assistance to needy and registered families, whose needs have been verified by the social, office and field research conducted by the Fund, so as to achieve the goal of delivering aid to the actual beneficiaries.
The Fund provided QR 133,830,636 cyclical assistance; QR 30,096,817 one-time aid; QR 30,373,595 tuition fees; QR 5,921,572 treatment aids; aid of benevolence basket worth QR18,206,184; QR 11,36,900 Eid Al-Fitr aid and QR 10,812,500 Eid al-Adha aid, as well as foreign aids for (Syrian refugees) worth QR10mn and other aids worth QR 628,650.
