The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary change to the access to Al Shamal road from Al Khafji street from tomorrow for three months.
The change, to be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is to allow reconstruction of Al Duhail Interchange.
During the closure, access to Al Shamal Road and adjacent areas will be through the Arab League Street than Al Tarfa street or through Al Duhail street as shown on the map.
Road users coming from Jelaiah Intersection on Al Khafji Street towards Al Shamal Road are advised to use the Arab League Street than Al Tarfa Street. Road users coming from Environment Street towards Al Shamal road are advised to use Al Duhail Street.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and requested road users to abide by the speed limit of 80kph and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
