The recently announced Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) Life Insurance Scheme has evoked good response from many companies in Qatar, according to a statement.
Representatives of more than 100 companies attended a meeting held at ICBF office in association with HR Professionals Forum Qatar.
The coverage of the insurance programme is QR100,000. It also covers permanent or partial disability up to the maximum covered amount depending on the percentage of the disability for a nominal premium of QR125 for two years.
HR Professionals Forum president Syed Qadeer said “This is an unbelievable benefit programme brought out by ICBF with the cheapest possible premium and we as HR professionals will ensure to take it to the all companies in Qatar to get their staff enrolled.”
The meeting provided suggestions on how to reach the maximum number of Indian expats in Qatar and a few queries were answered too. Representatives present vowed their support for the scheme and it was agreed to conduct camps /campaigns wherever needed. HR Professionals Forum offered their voluntary service to take the scheme to the community in a wider scale.
ICBF general secretary Avinash Gaikwad welcomed the gathering and president P N Baburajan gave the presidential address. ICBF Media and Development head Juttas Paul presented the insurance programme in detail to the company representatives and clarified their queries too. ICBF vice president Mahesh Gowda proposed a vote of thanks.
The event was co-ordinated by ICBF managing committee members Rajani Murthy, Senthil Athiban, Ziad Usman, Santosh Pillai, Subramanya Hebbaglu, Development Sub Committee member Abdulrahoof Kondotty and Jerry Babu.
Those who wish to join the insurance scheme can fill the forms available online at ICBF Facebook page or website and submit them along with passport and QID copies at the ICBF office at Indian embassy on all working days between 9am and 5pm or the ICBF Office at Integrated Indian Community Centre everyday, including weekends, from 12noon - 8pm, except on Sundays when it is from 4pm to 8pm.
