His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani offered condolences to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said of Oman on the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur, at Al Alam Palace in Muscat Sunday morning.
His Highness the Amir also offered condolences to members of the royal family, ranking officials and other dignitaries, praying to the Almighty Allah to have mercy on Sultan Qaboos’ soul and to grant him Paradise, and to inspire his family and the royal family with patience and solace.

Earlier in the day, His Highness the Amir arrived in Muscat, accompanied by an official delegation. He was welcomed at the Private Sultani Airport by Minister of State Sayyid Fatik bin Fahar al-Said, Governor of Muscat Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al-Busaidi, Qatar’s ambassador to Oman Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, and the Qatar embassy staff.
Later in the day, they also saw off His Highness the Amir and his accompanying delegation at the Private Sultani Airport.
