During the ceremony, Meshal al-Shamari, director, QGBC, awarded trophies to the QSW partners and sponsors to acknowledge their efforts and contributions, and highlight the activities that took place during the week.
Al-Shamari said, “Qatar Sustainability Week’s success has only been made possible through the active engagement and valuable participation of 160 diverse entities who share the vision of Qatar Green Building Council for a sustainable future.
“I would like to thank all our partners and sponsors, for being part of this movement to create a more sustainable Qatar and in the process contribute towards achieving our nation’s sustainable development goals.”
As part of QSW 2019, various stakeholders were able to showcase their innovative solutions to the environmental challenges facing Qatar and the wider region.
During the event, QGBC also announced that nominations for the 4th annual Qatar Sustainability Awards are open until January 26.
