Heavy rainfall leads to water-logging in low-lying areas

Qatar received heavy rainfall from the early hours of Friday. Dafna received the highest volume at 28.7mm between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning, according to a tweet by the Met Department. Water accumulated in low-lying areas was removed by teams from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment. On Saturday, according to Met Department's daily weather report, thundery rain is expected in some areas inshore. Offshore, the weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy with scattered rain, may be thundery at times in some places, with strong winds and high seas.
