The Qatar Met department has said the chances of rain of variable intensity are expected to continue until Friday, which will take place intermittently and may become thundery at times.
"Please be careful, avoid marine activities and follow latest updates through our official social media accounts," it tweeted Thursday.
Doha and other parts of the country received rain Thursday, with thunderstorms reported from some areas.
In its detailed forecast for Friday, the weather office said thundery rain is again expected in some places Friday. It also issued a marine warning for thundershowers, strong winds and high seas Friday.
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected and there is a possibility of scattered rain, which may turn thundery in some places at times. A similar forecast has been issued for offshore areas, too.
The wind speed may go up to 25 knots both offshore and inshore during thundershowers, with the direction northwesterly by the afternoon and evening, respectively.
