The Qatar National Cricket Academy (QNCA), established and run by the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA), will launch its full-fledged training programme at the Asian Town Stadium, Industrial Area, with an aim to boost the junior players development plan. 
QCA president Yousef Jeham al-Kuwari informed in a press release that the QNCA will start coaching sessions at its Asian Town Stadium-based facility this month. 
“The academy will run various training program through its qualified and experienced coaches to prepare players for different national teams,” al-Kuwari said.
“We are laying a great emphasis on junior players so that we can create a talent pool for strong senior national teams in future. We are keen to expand our activities to provide good grooming opportunities to our players at all levels,” al-Kuwari added. 
According to QCA Operations Manager Manzoor Ahmad, the QCA is also offering incentives to promising junior players. “The QCA president has also announced 15 scholarships to talented players. They will be imparted quality coaching and get to play matches so that they can be developed both physically and mentally.”
Ahmad said an extensive plan has been prepared for the players, especially the junior ones. “The QNCA will also prepare the players for under-16, under-19 and senior national teams. The players will be shortlisted after the successful completion of their coaching programme and given opportunity  to play the local league matches to develop them for international level competitions in future.”
