Qatargas Operating Company (Qatargas) has recently held its annual chief executive forum for national graduates and trainees with a key emphasis on national development.
The forum is an annual event where nationals, who are part of Qatargas’ training and development programme, meet with the chief executive, and participate in discussions regarding their individual development and the company’s Qatarisation drive.
“Qatargas is committed to fulfilling Qatar’s vision which promotes the increased participation of Qatari nationals in the work place," said its chief executive Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani.
During the event, he presented awards to the best national graduates and trainees, and scholars with best academic excellence for their outstanding performance in 2019. The coaches who excelled in training and mentoring the national graduates and trainees were also recognised by the chief executive.
The forum focused on the development of Qatargas’ national graduates and trainees, and provided updates on the company’s Qatarisation programme. It also provided participants the opportunity to share their experiences and highlight challenges they face during their development. The feedback and suggestions provided will help further improve the training and development programmes on offer.
As a key communications platform, the chief executive forum provides an opportunity for Qatari national graduates and trainees to engage in open discussion with the company’s senior management and contribute to decision making, ensuring their active involvement in their own personal development.
