Katara – the Cultural Village is set to open the 4th edition of Mahaseel (arabic word meaning 'harvest') Festival Monday at its southern area (opposite of St Regis Doha). The agricultural event will run until December 28 from 9am to 9pm.
Starting January 2020, the Mahaseel market will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until March 31.
On this occasion, Katara will also open an office at Building 47 for the Farmers' Forum, a first-of-its-kind in Qatar, bringing farm owners together to exchange experiences.
In addition, the Forum will also host various activities, including workshops and related seminars that contribute to the development of local agricultural production and the outputs of the festival.
Mahaseel has been successful in its previous versions, and helps encourage investment in agricultural projects.
The 4th edition of the festival is witnessing an increase in the number of participants, including shops, farms, agricultural and food companies, in addition to a group of recreational and educational activities that reflect on the importance of local food and agricultural products.
Besides shopping, the festival also has various activities for children, which provides an opportunity for families to bond and spend wonderful moments.
