The session took place at HEC Paris Doha campus in Tornado Tower and was led by esteemed guest speaker - Bertrand Badré, former managing director of World Bank and author of the acclaimed book ‘Can Finance Save the World’, which questions whether the finance industry has adapted to sustainable development a decade after the global financial crisis. After addressing the audience Badre, a graduate of HEC Paris who has previously served as a member of president Jacques Chirac’s diplomatic team, signed copies of his book for guests. The book, which has been translated into multiple languages, features a foreword written by French president, Emmanuel Macron and former British prime minister, Gordon Brown.
