The lights went up and everyone rose to their feet to chant for Qatar as the national anthem reverberated loud and proud in Barahat Msheireb in celebration of Qatar National Day.
This is the first ever public event to take place in Barahat Msheireb, the world’s largest open-air covered square in the Middle East, and the hub of entertainment and social gatherings in Msheireb Downtown Doha.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and Qatar Airways, Msheireb Properties organised the event for all residents in Qatar to celebrate Qatar National Day in the historic Downtown Doha that holds a very special place in the hearts of Qataris.
Folkloric tunes, family games and delicious food and entertainment attracted flocks of people to Msheireb as the fun went on for two days.
Msheireb Downtown Doha, by Msheireb Properties, is the latest destination for leisure, living and business. It is also the world’s smartest and most sustainable fully built city district and the first fully sustainable regeneration project worldwide.
