His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met on Tuesday with Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and his accompanying delegation.
At the outset of the meeting at the Amiri Diwan, the minister conveyed President Vladimir Putin's greetings and wishes of further health and happiness to the Amir, and to the people of Qatar further progress and prosperity.
The Amir reciprocated his greetings and wishes of good health and happiness to the Russian president, and further progress and prosperity to the Russian people. The Russian minister congratulated the Amir and the Qatari people on the country's National Day.
They also reviewed the strategic relations between the two countries and ways of strengthening them. The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
