The Qatar National Day Parade on the Doha Corniche will begin at 9.30am on Wednesday (December 18), it has been announced.
The Security Committee for Qatar National Day Activities held a press conference on Monday morning to announce the arrangements for the parade.
Addressing the press meet, Brigadier Ali Khajeem al-Adhba, head of the Security Committee for Qatar National Day Activities and director of the Missions and Establishments Security Committee, said the parade will start at 9.30am this year, the Ministry of Interior said in a post on social media.
He urged the public wishing to watch the parade to reach the location as early as possible. Sixteen parking locations have been specified for the public to park their vehicles and travel to and from the Corniche in shuttle buses.
People can also use the Doha Metro to reach the shuttle bus points.
The head of the Security Committee advised the public wishing to attend the parade to take necessary safety measures in anticipation of weather conditions and urged parents to take care of children and ensure their safety.
He also stressed the importance of following the instructions of the organising committee and security personnel to facilitate access to the event areas on the Doha Corniche, noting that there are special places for families.
