Al-Mannai said: “This national occasion is precious to our hearts and calls on us to work towards everything that leads to the advancement of our country and to achieve Qatar’s comprehensive national vision 2030, in which the family occupies a great place where Qatar was concerned with the family.”
She pointed out that the country has worked to build the Qatari family, which is dominated by harmony, love and compassion, and adopted policies, initiatives and legislation aimed at protecting the family and its members.
Al-Mannai added that the country also encouraged initiatives aimed at developing the family and enabling it to adapt to the changes in their surroundings and to give the family members the ability to respond to these changes without prejudice to their construction or loss of their functions.
She said that these forward-looking efforts have continued year after year until the Qatari family reached advanced levels in the health, educational, economic and social aspects, and this promising future vision, which is clearly evident, is a confirmation of the determination of our wise leadership to continue the process of building and progress to achieve pride and prosperity for all the people of Qatar”.
Al-Mannai added that Qatar Foundation for Social Work and the centres under its umbrella – through its representatives in the eight sectoral task forces – contributed to the preparation of the eight sectoral strategies that form the second national development strategy 2018-2022, and also contributed to the monitoring and follow-up reports during the first year of the strategy, and the Foundation and its centres will continue to participate in the implementation, follow-up and evaluation of the strategy plan.
She explained that the Foundation supervised the development of plans for programmes and projects in the centres under its umbrella, which are development projects covering various areas of work of the centres and it seeks to achieve its strategic objectives, serves the target groups of the centres and segments of society, and addresses critical issues in the areas of disability, family guidance, combating violence, empowerment and care of the elderly and orphans.
