His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will open Saturday the Doha Forum 2019.
Held under the theme Reimagining Governance in a Multipolar World, the forum will be attended by Rwanda President Paul Kagame, Armenia President Armen Sarkissian, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, Malaysian Prime Minister of Dr Mahathir Mohamed, Ecuador Vice President Otto Sonnenholzner, Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya Fayez al-Sarraj, Somalia's Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khairi, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne and the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.
His Highness the Amir will deliver a speech at the forum's opening session, which will focus on the danger of a multipolar world becoming a fragmentation as a result of the major powers shirking their responsibilities towards the world, especially law enforcement and international legitimacy.
The forum's programme, which attracts 3,000 participants from different countries of the world and more than 250 speakers, includes a set of plenary and discussion sessions and keywords centred on global topics and issues such as migration, refugees, extremism, global governance challenges, agency wars, as well as regional co-operation mechanisms and new global balances.
