Malaysia’s visiting Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed yesterday held a roundtable meeting with the industry captains of Qatar, where he sought Doha’s investments, especially in the areas of hydrocarbons, chemicals and chemical products, food processing, halal, hotel and tourism, Islamic banking and finance. He was accompanied by Saifuddin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mohamad Sabu, Minister of Defence. Also seen are Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani and Qatari Businessmen Association chairman HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani.
