The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs signed Wednesday a cooperation agreement with Qatar Charity (QC) for productive families during an exhibition for their products that takes place in Katara from December 14 to December 17.

A total of 76 families are taking part. There will be two categories, one for the families and another for products. The total prize money for the two awards will be QR600,000. A total of 33 families and their products are competing for the top three places.

The competing projects undergo an evaluation process by a specialized jury that includes experts from several relevant bodies such as the Ministries of Administrative Development and Labor and Social Affairs, Trade and Industry, Qatar Chamber, Qatar Foundation for Social Work and Qatar Development Bank, where the winners will be announced next Sunday.

In a press conference to discuss the award, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs Ghanem Mubarak Al Kuwari expressed his thanks to Qatar Charity for their support in organizing the fifth minutes of the award. He noted that Qatar Charity has consistently supported the ministry's initiatives.

He stressed the ministry's commitment to supporting productive families and promoting their products through organizing local exhibitions and participating in international exhibitions, and launching strategies that support their craft through marketing, training and financing opportunities to achieve the growth and spread of these crafts and preserve them from extinction.

For his part, CEO of Qatar Charity Youssef Ahmed Al Kuwari that they are a long-term partner to the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs in empowering productive families by helping them benefit from their capabilities.
