HE the Secretary-General of the Cabinet Hamad bin Ahmed al-Mohannadi congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and the loyal citizens and residents of Qatar on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day. In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he said that this glorious occasion is a reminder of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani, who established the base and laid the values and principles upon which the State of Qatar was built.
These set of values and principles enabled to make significant achievements and offer the world a bright model of a secure and stable state capable of achieving the highest rates of development and providing the most dignified ways of life for its people and residents.
The secretary-general of the Cabinet added, “We recall on this day the feats of the Founder and remember the successes and achievements of our country and the positive role it plays in the region and the world thanks to the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.”
He expressed pride in the glorious history of the Founder and his efforts and sacrifices, adding “we learned from him how to face challenges and overcome difficulties, which was very relevant in the face of the unjust blockade imposed on the country.”
He continued by saying that “under the guidance of our leader and the awareness of citizens and solidarity between residents and citizens, we were able to overcome the effects of the blockade and became stronger, more cohesive, self-reliant and capable of building and providing.”
He also emphasised that under the blockade, the country was able to achieve the highest rates of development and security and safety according to international organisations.
HE al-Mohannadi explained that the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, within the framework of its specialisation and under the guidance of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, is working to implement Qatar National Vision 2030 in co-ordination with all state agencies, especially in the legislative field, pointing out that the General Secretariat has completed many important and necessary legislations, especially the legislations on economic affairs and investments, which place a solid ground for the development process and create a sound legal environment for expanding investment and attracting capital.
Additionally, there are other legislations that have already created a legislative renaissance in the country, he noted. The secretary-general of the Cabinet concluded his statements by expressing his congratulations on the National Day, which became a national occasion to remember the glories of our ancestors, who created a proud history for us, and the achievements made in this prosperous era, and to renew the determination to continue on the path of construction, development and progress and work hard for our dear country Qatar and its people.
