He said that within the framework of the distinguished relations between the two countries, Qatar has significant investments in Sudan, especially in the agricultural and real estate fields, in addition to its role in the restoration of Sudanese antiquities through the Sudanese-Qatari project. Furthermore, there is distinguished relationship between the two countries in the cultural fields and reconstruction projects in Darfur and the peace villages built by Qatar.

The acting charge d’Affaires at the Sudanese embassy in Doha congratulated the State of Qatar, which celebrates its National Day on the 18th of December every year.
He added, “I would like to congratulate the State of Qatar on the great national and historical occasion,” stressing that Qatar’s celebration of its National Day is a celebration of the ancestor’s past, which represents the base for Qatar’s present and a platform for a bright future.
He continued by saying, “We tell Qatar and its people, as they celebrate the National Day, that history will record for you that the clarity of vision and unity of goal between the leadership and the people is what will achieve the noble goals and lofty aspirations of the ancestors.”
He also praised the remarkable achievements of Qatar during the past period, both domestically and internationally, noting that Qatar has paid great attention to the infrastructure. He revealed that he was observing what is happening in Qatar during the past two years and saw that a great effort has been made. He stressed that the most important thing accomplished by Qatar is the investment in Qatari people through education and the opening of branches of the most prominent international universities in Doha, as well as the interest in healthcare and the development in the communication and technological sector.
He pointed out that Qatar has established, through soft diplomacy, a network of strong external relations with most countries of the world. It also has common interests, economic and investment ties that made it a country of great importance in the regional environment and at the international level. Its investments have expanded across continents, while Qatar also hosted a large range of seminars and meeting of importance in the parliamentary, human rights and security fields, which prepares it to play an influential role regionally and internationally.
Hemmeida expressed his sincere thanks to Qatar for hosting the Sudanese community residing in the country, which is estimated to be more than 60,000 in medical, legal, engineering, educational, sports and other sectors.
