Al-Attiyah Foundation has signed an agreement with Qatar Shell, renewing the latter’s membership of the Foundation for another two years, 2019-2021, it was announced Tuesday.
Al-Attiyah Foundation vice-chairman HE Dr Ibrahim Ibrahim and Qatar Shell managing director and chairman Andrew Faulkner were the signatories, according to a statement.
Qatar Shell has been a long-standing member and partner of the Foundation for over five years, supporting the independent, non-profit think tank, to continue its mission to provide in-depth research, analyses and thought-leadership under the themes of energy and sustainable development.
HE Dr Ibrahim commented: "Once again, I am pleased to join hands with Andrew Faulkner, managing director and chairman of Qatar Shell, to celebrate their membership renewal and our long-term partnership. As the energy sector is integral to the transition to a more sustainable world, partnerships that provide opportunities for knowledge sharing, become even more important.”
Faulkner said: “Qatar Shell is proud to renew our important and longstanding partnership with the Al-Attiyah Foundation. We will continue to contribute to the excellent platform it provides for sharing independent expert opinion and promoting meaningful discussion of themes surrounding energy and sustainable development, which are vital to Qatar's future development in these fields.”
