Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has announced a series of events at Aspire Park from December 12-18, to be held from 3.30pm-10pm, for Qatar National Day under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The activities at Aspire Park feature collaborations between AZF and a number of organisations to provide activities for the community.
These include collaborations with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour & Social Affairs for cultural celebrations and the Police Sports Federation for military, obstacle and shooting competitions. There will also be a military parade by the National Service Academy, while the Girls Creativity Center will have an art celebration and the Qatar Air Sports Committee will have an air show and parachuting. Also, there will be activities for kids by Shabab Youth 22.
Meanwhile, the Qatar Balloon Festival is currently under way at the park, behind the lake near Al Furousiya Street, with 30 participants from around the world.
