Figures from Qatar Chamber’s recently-launched electronic system that measures customer satisfaction showed that 80% of members are satisfied with the services provided by the chamber.
This was revealed during a meeting of Qatar Chamber’s Registration and Membership Committee, which was presided over by second vice chairman and committee chairperson Rashid bin Hamad al-Athba.
The meeting discussed ways to inform the Chamber’s members on the services offered to the business community. The committee stressed that it is important for the Chamber to adopt new mechanisms to inform members of the services available to them on the local, regional, and global levels, as well as new mechanisms to develop the role of the committee.
The committee’s role also includes recommending policies on membership, assessing the views of companies and individuals interested to join the Chamber, and classifying Qatari companies and institutions according to activity.
The committee is also responsible in expressing views on amending membership fees and the exemption from chamber fees. It examines requests to dismiss or freeze membership, as well as re-membership, and studies the various economic sectors, in addition to increasing or reducing companies operating in each sector.
