Toyota Motor Corporation recently announced the achievement of 10mn cumulative global sales of its Land Cruiser series. To celebrate this achievement, Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the exclusive distributor for Toyota vehicles in Qatar, has launched a special campaign for the Land Cruiser, which will run until the end of December.
During the campaign period, those purchasing the Land Cruiser will get a chance to win one of 10 full service packages through a raffle draw. The service package includes all labour, parts, oil fluid and consumables for periodic maintenance in accordance with the schedule recommended by Toyota Motor Corporation for five years or 100,000km, whichever comes first, AAB has said in a statement.
The package covers an additional three sets of front brake pads and two sets of rear pads replacement.
Customers can avail of the campaign benefits for the Land Cruiser purchased from the AAB showrooms at Al Abdulghani Tower or City Center Doha. The benefits are also available through its two official dealers, Al Tadamon Motors & Trading Co and Al Tariq Automobiles.
“In Qatar, the Land Cruiser enjoys a unique position in the heart of every individual in the country – be it a Qatari national or an expatriate, be it a school-going kid or an elderly person. The Land Cruiser has become an integral part of people’s lives virtually everywhere. The Land Cruiser will never let them down on any terrain – be it on the road or off the road, which has made this model so popular. The Land Cruiser is truly the ‘Pride of the land’,” the statement explains.
Launched on August 1, 1951, as the Toyota Jeep BJ, the Land Cruiser is the company’s longest-running vehicle. The production of the “world-beating” vehicle, which assumed its current name in 1954, has continued for 68 years with nine generations “dominating the premium SUV market across the world”.
Full-scale exports of the Land Cruiser began with the 20 series, which was introduced in November 1955, four years after the launch of the first-generation vehicle. “Since then, Toyota has consistently developed versions that cater to customer needs while staying true to its reputation for reliability, durability and drivability on poor roads – essentially the development concepts on which the Land Cruiser is based,” the statement
continues.
As a recognition of its off-road capabilities, the Land Cruiser has continued to receive the support of customers around the world. At present, the Land Cruiser is sold in approximately 170 countries and regions worldwide, with annual global sales standing at approximately 400,000 units.
AAB – Toyota showrooms are located at the Al Matar Street/C-Ring Road intersection and at City Center Doha, West Bay. The showrooms are open seven days a week from 8am to 9pm, Saturday-Thursday, and from 5pm to 9pm on Fridays.
