Qatar Rail has tweeted that it is extending the Doha Metro service hours on the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup match days, running from 6am until midnight, in order to "facilitate fans' travel" on those days.
Informing this Tuesday, Qatar Rail also provided answers to queries related to the Gulf Cup through the dedicated Doha Metro & Lusail Tram Twitter page:

* Who is entitled to a Doha Metro free Day Pass?

Anyone who can show a printed, physical ticket for an Arabian Gulf Cup football match.

* When can I collect a complimentary Day Pass?

Complimentary Day Passes are only available on match days. These can be collected from any Doha Metro station goldclub information centre.

* Which Doha Metro stations do I need to travel to for the football matches?

Khalifa International Stadium – walking distance from Sport City station on the Gold Line; approximately 20 minutes from Msheireb station in downtown Doha.
Al Sadd Stadium – walking distance from Al Sudan station on the Gold Line.
Al Janoub Stadium (Al Wakra) – 5km from Al Wakra station on the Red Line. Free buses will be available to and from the stadium.

* How frequent are Doha Metro trains?

Trains operate every five minutes in both directions from all stations, including Sport City station.
Qatar Rail also urged people to "please allow extra travel time on match days as we anticipate a busy service, especially at Al Aziziyah and Sport City stations".
The recently launched Gold Line has 11 stations, extending from Ras Bu Abboud to Al Aziziyah and connecting the Red Line at Msheireb station.
