There are chances of rain in the country Monday and Tuesday, the Qatar Met department has said based on the country's numerical weather prediction model.
In a report Sunday, the department said the skies are expected to gradually become cloudy at times and there are chances of scattered rain that will range in intensity from light to moderate, and may become thundery in some places at times, especially in the northern and southern areas.
The rain will be accompanied by strong winds, exceeding 25 knots in some areas at times, as well as low horizontal visibility - dropping to less than 2km during thundery rain.
A marine warning for thundershowers is expected to begin Tuesday with the sea height likely to rise to 7ft during thundery rain, the report states.
The Met department has urged people to be cautious and avoid sea activities during the warning period, as well as to follow the latest weather updates through its official accounts.
