Qatar ranked first in the Arab world and 26th in the world in the global talent ranking 2019 report issued by the Competitiveness Center of the Institute for Administrative Development in Switzerland. Sixty-three countries were covered in the study.

According to the report, Qatar has been ranked 41st this year in investment and development, 21st in attractivity and 20th in readiness over the past two years.

In terms of investment and development, Qatar ranked sixth in the index of total public expenditure on education per student, eighth in the index of industrial training that is applied efficiently, and 12th in the index of health infrastructure that meets the needs of society.

In attractivity, Qatar ranked first in the income tax rate index as a percentage of GDP per capita, ninth in the foreign skill index attracted by the Qatari business environment, 17th in the corporate motivation index and 18th in the quality of life index.

With regard to readiness, Qatar ranked fourth in the international experience index for Executive Directors and 11th in the index of meeting university education for the needs of a competitive economy.

Commenting on the report, the Planning and Statistics Authority, which has been cooperating with the Institute for Administrative Development in Switzerland for more than ten years with regard to Qatar indicators, stressed that the outstanding performance of the country has strengthened its competitiveness in terms of building global and financial skills, international expertise and the educational system.
