The Amiri Guard has celebrated the closing of the eighth Infantry Competition 2019 and the graduation of the Amiri Guard’s founding courses for officers (9) and qualifying course (11), at Barzan camp in the presence of Deputy Commander of the Amiri Guard Major General Hamad Mesfer al-Shahwani, Inspector General, Assistant Commander of the Amiri Guard, and a number of departments and groups commanders.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the general report of the competition was reviewed, where the results were as follows: The Operations and Intelligence Department got the first place as the best faction, and the first position as the best faction leaders, Lt Mattar Saleh Matar al-Dossari. On this occasion, Colonel Meshaal Mohamed al-Attiyah, Assistant Commander of Operations and Intelligence, thanked the Commander of the Amiri Guard and Deputy Commander of the Amiri Guard for the unlimited support to the various competitions that contribute to developing and enhancing the training level of the staff of the Amiri Guard, while noting that the infantry competition comes in conjunction with the start of  preparations for participation in the national march to celebrate the National Day of the country.
On the fact that the Operations and Intelligence Department won the first place as the best faction, he explained that the main reason for this is several factors, the most important of which were good training, early preparedness, and harmony and fruitful co-operation among the various members of the faction .He stressed that the contest contributes to creating a spirit of competition among  the various departments and groups, and reflects the efficiency and readiness of the staff of the Amiri Guard in the application of infantry movements, which is one of the most important pillars of military control .
At the end of the ceremony,  the Deputy Commander of the Amiri Guard honoured the winners in the various branches of the competition and the graduates of the two courses.
