The Arab Organisation for Supreme Audit Institutions (Arabosai) concluded yesterday its three-day 13th General Assembly meeting, issuing recommendations gearing towards more co-operation amongst Arab audit organisations.
The final statement also encourages more auditing of development programmes especially the ones dealing with enforcing reforms in line with International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (Intosai) standard.
At the beginning of the closing session of the meeting, HE Sheikh Bandar bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani, President of the State Audit Bureau and Chairman of the Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (Arabosai), praised the spirit of trust and co-operation that prevailed in the 13th session of the organisation, which contributed to come up with important recommendations and decisions supporting the efforts.
He stressed that the Audit Bureau in Qatar will work during his presidency of the organisation to create the appropriate conditions to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives, in addition to the presentation of projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of Arab devices and to encourage technical and professional co-operation among the various organs of the organisation members.
