There are preliminary indications of another round of "atmospheric instability" affecting the country by the middle of next week, bringing more rain, the Qatar Met department has said.
Doha and other parts of the country experienced a thunderstorm and a downpour on November 10, with other parts of the country receiving some rain over the next few days as well.
In an earlier forecast, the weather office had said unsettled weather, marked by rain and strong winds, were expected to affect the country from November 8 noon until the end of this week.
on Wednesday, in a report posted on its Twitter page, the Met department said preliminary indications show the possibility of another state of "atmospheric instability" affecting the country by the middle of next week due to the extension of a low-pressure system over the region, lasting for several days in intermittent periods. There are good chances of rain of variable intensity, which may be thundery at times, during this period.
The Met department has urged people to be always follow the latest warnings and updates through its official social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Thursday's forecast says thundery rain is expected in some places along with strong winds. Similar conditions are likely in offshore areas, too, along with high seas.
The wind speed may go up to 25 knots in both inshore and offshore areas during thundershowers, with the sea level rising to 8ft.
Moderate temperatures are expected Thursday along with scattered clouds, the detailed report says. There is a chance of rain in some places, which may become thundery, and blowing dust is also forecast occasionally.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy at times and there is a possibility of scattered rain that may turn thundery by the afternoon.
A minimum temperature of 19C in expected Thursday in Wakrah, Mesaieed and Abu Samra, 20C in Al Khor and Dukhan, and 23C in Doha and Ruwais. The maximum, on the other hand, will range from 28C to 30C in the country, with Doha expected to see a high of 29C.
