Qatar participated in the second Paris Peace Forum, which kicked off in the French Capital yesterday with the aim of enhancing international co-operation to face the dangers facing the world.
HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali headed the delegation of Qatar to the forum, in the presence of Qatar’s ambassador to France Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani.
The two-day forum brings together delegates from more than 130 countries with the participation of more than 30 heads of state and government, as well as heads and directors of various international organisations.
The forum was inaugurated by French President Emmanuel Macron who stressed in his opening address the importance of collective international action to find solutions to the challenges of global governance.
The forum includes more than 80 seminars, with a focus on the issue of cyberspace.
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is participating in the forum as a strategic partner in the work of the second Paris Peace Forum, in addition to organising many events on the sidelines of the forum. - QNA
