The Human Rights Office for the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq has documented 269 deaths in the context of demonstrations across the country, spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Rupert Colville said in a statement.

The High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq announced yesterday that 23 people were killed and 1,077 demonstrators and security forces were injured in four provinces within four days.
