The Qatar Met department issued a marine warning on Thursday, stating that thundery rain is expected in these areas from Saturday until Monday (November 11).
In a report posted on social media, the weather office said the rain will be accompanied by strong winds that are expected to be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly, ranging in speed from 8-18 knots and going up to 30 knots in some places at times during thundershowers.
The wave height will be 3-6ft, rising to 10ft during thundery rain.
"Please be careful, avoid all sea activities and follow latest updates through our official accounts," the department advised.
Meanwhile, the department has said there is chance of rain in some places on Friday. It will be relatively hot during the day and scattered clouds are likely, the forecast states, adding that mild conditions are expected by night.
Scattered clouds are also likely in offshore areas on Friday.
The maximum temperature on Friday is expected to be 32C in Doha, 31C in Wakrah, Mesaieed and Al Khor, 30C in Ruwais and Abu Samra and 29C in Dukhan. The minimum, on the other hand, will be 19C in Al Khor, 20C in Wakrah and Mesaieed, 23C in Abu Samra, 24C in Doha and Dukhan, and 27C in Ruwais.
Thursday, a maximum of 33C was recorded in Turayna, followed by 32C in Abu Hamour, Sheehaniya and other places, and 31C in Doha (airport area), the Qatar University area, Mesaieed and Jumayliyah. The minimum was 19C in Mesaieed and Turayna, 20C in Sheehan
